I was honored and privileged to be asked by the American Heart and Stroke Association to share my story at the "You"re the Cure on Capitol Hill" lobby day.  I was able to meet with Representatives of Congress and the House of Representatives to further our cause for additional funding for the National Institute of Health and to ask for sponsorship and votes for the FAST Act, a Cardiac Rehabilitation Act and a NO Vote on the new Healthcare Act as written on June 27, 2017.  

I was an honored speaking guest at a luncheon for over 300 survivors and advocates and to meet many survivors and share our stories about making a negative thing that happened in our lives a positive thing for others.
